ジャンティバンティとはフランス語で直訳すると紳士な泥棒と言う意味である。

アートディレクターのBenoit氏はフランス、ノルマンディー出身。氏自身がクラシカルかつモダンなバックを持ちたい、この様なバックが あれば楽しい!ないなら作ればいいじゃないかと...1つの決まった枠にはまるのでは無く様々な世代、スタイル、シーンで 使えるモノを発信していきたいという思いでスタートする事となった。ブランド名をGENTIL BANDITと名付けられたのにも氏の思いが反映されており、GENTIL BANDITを見た人の心を奪ってしまう様にという思いが込められている。
